Campus Excellence Awards Presented to Three from Salem Campus

5X社区 at Salem recently recognized three employees with Campus Excellence Awards, recognizing exemplary teaching and service to the campus.

Dr. Louise Steele was recognized as the outstanding fulltime faculty member. She is an assistant professor of biology and has taught on the Salem Campus for four years.

A native of Brockway, Pa., Steele received her bachelor of science in biology from Penn State-Erie. She earned her Ph.D. in molecular biology and microbiology from Case Western Reserve University. She now lives in Alliance.

Dr. Daniel Dankovic was recognized as the outstanding adjunct faculty member. He has taught biology on the Salem Campus for six years.

Dankovic earned bachelor degrees in psychology and biology, and is a doctor of chiropractic medicine, as well as a certified chiropractic sports physician. He earned his degrees at the Ohio State University and the National College of Chiropractic Medicine. Dankovic has been in private practice since 1991 and lives in Austintown.

Maegan Richards received the award for outstanding staff member. She is the senior library associate on the Salem Campus, where she has worked fulltime for more than four years.

Richards earned her degrees at 5X社区, beginning with a bachelor of arts in English in 2009, and a master of library and information science in 2011. As an undergraduate and grad student, she was a student employee on the Kent State and Salem campuses. Richards lives in Berlin Center.
