The Kent State Salem Communiversity Choir will present its annual holiday concert on Thursday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Kent State Salem City Center auditorium located at 230 North Lincoln Street Salem, OH 44460.
The free public concert will feature the blended voices of Kent State students, faculty and community members as they present “A Family Christmas,” under the direction of Mel Fucci, music instructor at Kent State Salem. The featured soloist this year is Marla Berg, assistant professor of voice and director of the 5X opera program.
Following the concert, the Creative Learning Center: The Salem Storybook Museum Revisited will host a reception in its first-floor location within the City Center with cookies, hot chocolate, a visit from Santa and a display showcasing its collection of original illustrations from children’s books.
Kent State Salem students from the early childhood education program will host a craft station for children.
Collection boxes will be set up for donations of new, unwrapped toys for the U.S. Marine’s Toys for Tots campaign.
