Candidates for Dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Services Dean to Make Public Presentations

Four candidates for dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Services at 5XÉçÇø will be on campus over the next several weeks. Based on responses received from faculty, staff and students through a survey and town hall meetings, each candidate will hold a public presentation on the topic, “Leading a Complex College: Building Community, Enhancing Reputation and Securing Resources for the College of Education, Health and Human Services.â€

Todd A. Diacon, Ph.D., senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, is encouraging members of the Kent State community to attend the public presentations and learn more about the candidates. 

Wanda Costen

Wanda M. Costen, Ph.D., is associate professor and executive director of the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management at Northern Arizona University. Her promotion to full professor is pending final confirmation in February. She will present Jan. 23 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom Balcony. 

 

 

Christopher D. Hardin, Ph.D., is professor and chair of the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Physiology and professor of Medical Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of Missouri. He will present Jan. 25 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Mouton Hall Ballroom.

 

 

James C. Hannon, Ph.D., is professor and assistant dean of Academic Affairs and Research in the College of Physical Activity and Sport Science at West Virginia University. He will present Jan. 31 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Moulton Hall Ballroom.

 

 

Benjamin F. Johnson, Ed.D., is professor and chair of the Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky. He will present Feb. 1 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Moulton Hall Ballroom.
