Information Services Puts Students First With Discounted Adobe Creative Cloud Software

5XÉçÇø’s Division of Information Services has finalized an agreement with Adobe Systems Inc. that will save Kent State students in excess of $1 million per year.

Kent State students are now able to purchase Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions for only $75 per year. The current student plan for the same package ranges from $240 to $360 per year.

"Information Services could not be more excited to offer this incredible savings to our students," says Jay Frye, Kent State’s director of service management.

Likewise, faculty and staff members will be able to purchase the software subscription for their personal computers for the same discounted rate.

Additionally, there is a significant savings to the university. Adobe Creative Cloud for university-owned computers – faculty, staff and labs – now cost $100 per subscription per year. This is half the cost that departments are currently paying per subscription.
