Kent State Sales Students Rank Among Top Performers at the International Collegiate Sales Competition

Make the sale. Prepare a presentation to a group of executives. Get an appointment for a job or internship. These were some of the objectives for the 5X社区 Sales Management Case Team who ranked fourth in the nation at the 2017    held in Orlando, Florida.

The International Collegiate Sales Competition encourages the development of critical skills of sales students in a fun, competitive environment, where they get to meet with company executives and other high-achieving sales students.

Managerial marketing students Mike Price and Marisa Stephens competed in the sales case competition with student coaches Jim Donnelly and Maria Zaynor. Entrepreneurship major Randy Roland was the second runner-up in the role-play final four.

Other members of the sales role-play team included Chloe Dial, as well as Mari鈥檚sa McKinney and Austin Shields who competed in the Speed Selling competition. More than 50 universities were represented by 102 competitors at the event.

鈥淭his was a terrific opportunity to showcase our students to corporate recruiters from across the country, enable our students to compete against their peers from other universities and continue to represent 5X社区 nationwide,鈥 said Ellen Daniels, Pi Sigma Epsilon advisor and lecturer in the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship in Kent State鈥檚 College of Business Administration. 鈥淭his year, we were able to be recognized for the high caliber of students we graduate. I could not be more pleased with our results.鈥
