5X's Office of Student Accessibility Services recently moved to University Library on Risman Drive, a more central campus location.
The office is now situated in the newly renovated Suite 100 on the first floor of University Library, just past the first-floor elevators. The move occurred on Jan. 3 over the 2016-2017 Winter Recess.
Julie Di Biasio, interim director of the Office of Student Accessibility Services at Kent State, says students and staff are excited about the move.
“Our new space is more centrally located to the academic buildings on campus, which makes it much more convenient for students utilizing our services,” Di Biasio says. “We also think faculty will appreciate the convenience of our new location being right next to Scanning Services.”
Di Biasio also says the new office now incorporates an expanded testing center, computer lab and meeting space necessary for accommodating students.
The Office of Student Accessibility Services provides accommodations, consultation and advocacy for students with disabilities who attend Kent State.
