Angelina Urbina, Summer Course 2024 Student, John Carroll Student
I am excited to share that this summer, I participated in the program, supported by and a consortium of Northeast Ohio academic institutions, including my own, .
During this program, I learned about robust semiconductor manufacturing processes directly from industry experts. I gained hands-on experience in a cleanroom environment, performing photolithography, reactive ion etching, and using state-of-the-art atomic layer deposition technology. I was also amongst the first to test Ohio State University's VR cleanroom experience.
A personal highlight was working with and on our capstone project, a poster presentation showcasing our cleanroom operations. Our team’s eagerness to learn from each other allowed us to produce a poster we were all proud of!
I am incredibly grateful to Dr. , Dr. Flavia.P.N. Inbanathan, and whose support was invaluable throughout this experience. I also want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to my fellow classmates, who inspired me every day with their curiosity, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence!
Before this program, I could have never imagined that the semiconductor industry had a space for me, but now I can see it clearly. I am excited about the opportunities ahead for us all and to see how the program continues to evolve.
