World AIDS Day Activities at Kent State Stark

World AIDS Day is celebrated on December 1 each year around the world. It has become one of the most recognized international health days and a key opportunity to raise awareness, commemorate those who have passed on, and celebrate victories such as increased access to treatment and prevention services.

Monday, Nov. 30 - Thursday, Dec. 3
  • Informative literature and free condoms in the Campus Center.
  • "Bead for Life" Jewelry items on sale from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Campus Center.
    Proceeds benefit HIV+ or displaced Ugandan women, to fight extreme poverty in the areas of health, affordable housing and sustainable livelihood.
  • Display of AIDS Memorial Quilt in the Campus Center.
    9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
     
Tuesday, Dec. 1
  • HIV/AIDS Testing - free and confidential!
    10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
    Library Second Floor
    • Individual, private rooms
    • No appointment necessary
    • Results in minutes
    • Testing provided by Planned Parenthood
