The Kent State East Liverpool and Salem campuses are busy places these days 鈥 and that鈥檚 a wonderful thing. We are midway through the semester and my calendar is filling up with all sorts of end-of-the year events such as award banquets, pinning ceremonies, student鈥
The sky is the limit for learning basic life skills. That is the lesson for several Columbiana County Rising Scholars involved in a project through NASA.

First, he knows that morel mushrooms are prized finds by those who hunt and gather them. Secondly, he knows that these mushrooms are expensive for others to purchase. And, he knows that morels are not easy to grow outside of鈥
Chris Carlson was a beloved professor of horticulture on the Salem Campus who helped create the program that is unique to this campus. Unfortunately, Carlson lost his battle with ALS and passed away last fall.
