Research, Measurement and Statistics - M.Ed.

The Master of Education degree in Research, Measurement and Statistics develops educators and specialists in the areas of assessment, measurement, research design and program evaluation. About This Program

The M.Ed. program offers flexibility in course offerings such that individualized plans of study can be built around the needs and career plans of each student. Additionally, students may take coursework in the program in a variety of ways:

Program Learning Outcomes

Graduates of this program will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics at a conceptual and application level.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of research design and methods by selecting and executing the appropriate research design and methods for a variety of applications.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge of measurement, including the methods to develop valid and reliable measures of constructs.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of contemporary and classic theories in program evaluation, the purposes and logic of program evaluation and the processes of different types of program evaluation.

Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 2.750 undergraduate GPA on a 4.000-point scale
  • Official transcript(s)
  • Goal statement
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • English language proficiency - all international students must provide proof of English language proficiency (unless they meet specific exceptions to waive) by earning one of the following:1
    • Minimum 79 TOEFL iBT score
    • Minimum 6.5 IELTS score
    • Minimum 58 PTE score
    • Minimum 110 DET score

International applicants who do not meet the above test scores may be considered for conditional admission.
