Emad Khazraee, Ph.D., School of Library and Information Science, co-authored a paper titled "A Networked Reaction to the 2015 Ankara Attack in the Turkish Twittersphere" with colleagues from the Ohio State University School of Communication. The paper was presented by Aysenur Dal, an OSU doctoral student, at the Political Networks Conference (POLNET) on June 24, 2016, in St. Louis, Missouri.

When someone suffers a stroke, traumatic brain injury or brain tumor, one of the common symptoms is aphasia, a disorder that arises from damage to portions of the brain, usually the left side, that are responsible for language. It impairs the expression and understanding of language, as well as reading and writing.
Researchers in Professor Philip Bos’ laboratory at 5XÉçÇø's Liquid Crystal Institute® and the Lincoln Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) recently published the results of their collaborative development of advanced liquid crystal devices that can steer a beam of laser light without physical motion.
Kiersten F. Latham, Ph.D., associate professor in 5XÉçÇø’s School of Information (iSchool), has received a Fulbright Scholar Award to teach at the University of Zadar in Croatia for the Fall 2017 Semester. The deadline for grading submission is midnight on Wednesday, July 5. Any final grades for summer 2017 courses not reported in FlashFAST by the grades processing deadline will have to be submitted using the Grade Change Workflow. These summer 2017 courses will be available in the Workflow on Friday, July 7.
