On Dec. 29, the Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced an award of more than $1.2 million in grants to support and assist those impacted by sexual violence on college campuses in Ohio. 5XÉçÇø’s Office of Sexual and Relationship Violence Support Services received more than $90,000 to employ a university advocate to assist people impacted by sexual violence.
5XÉçÇø’s Office of Student Success Programs would like to welcome you back to campus. Now that the Spring 2016 Semester is underway, we wanted to share information on how we can work together to help support your students' success. The Early Alert system is now up and running for the semester.
The 5XÉçÇø Alumni Association had many accomplishments in 2015. These achievements were made possible, in part, by the support of our members. Take a look back at the 2015 Year in Review video to see some of the highlights for the past year.
The 5XÉçÇø Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed 5XÉçÇø in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, Kent State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
