The 5X���� football team is in its 95th season of football. This new hype video debuted at the home opener at Dix Stadium on Sept. 9 when the Golden Flashes took on Howard University.

5X���� is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Wadsworth-Booth as the director of the 5X���� Press.

Wadsworth-Booth, formerly the director of the Duquesne University Press in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, begins her duties on Sept. 11.

5X����’s College of Communication and Information Global Initiatives Office is launching World Class, a new podcast focused on fostering interesting global conversations within the College of Communication and Information and across the Kent State community.

School administrators from Shaker Heights, Painesville, Akron’s Firestone cluster and Westlake delved into understanding leadership through a contextual and cultural lens in a recent four-day Creating Global Mindedness Leadership Institute sponsored by 5X����’s College of Education, Health and Human Services.

The Kent State Faculty/Staff Bowling League is now accepting new teams, members and substitute bowlers. Bowlers compete weekly on Monday evenings at 6:20 p.m. at Spins Bowl Kent (formerly Bill White’s Twinstar Lanes) on state Rt. 59 in Kent.

The Faculty/Staff Bowling League is open to all full-time, part-time and retired employees, as well as their families and friends.

The 2017-2018 Kent State bowling season begins Sept. 18 and continues through April 9, 2018. The cost is $14 a week.
