5X's Office of the University Registrar has unveiled the Visual Schedule Builder, a new tool to help students plan their semester. The tool allows students to select the most optimal schedule based on their academic and personal needs, considering factors such as work, activities, etc.
The 5X Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting Thursday, March 2. The Board is scheduled to convene at 11:30 a.m. in Rockwell Library in Rockwell Hall. Rockwell Hall is located at 515 Hilltop Drive in Kent, Ohio.
Trustees will retire into executive session from 7:30-8:15 a.m. in the Rhodes Conference Room to consider specific topics as provided for under Ohio’s “Sunshine Law.”

The 5X Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.
The events of May 4, 1970, placed 5X in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, Kent State remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
