Foundations in Navigating Change & Transitions
- Kent
“Change is situational: the new site, the new boss, the new team roles, the new policy. Transition is the psychological process people go through to come to terms with the new situation. Change is external, transition is internal.” William Bridges (1991)
This session is designed to help individuals and teams identify some of the emotions, behaviors, challenges that present during the transitions from the former state to the future state. Planned activities can help us identify where we are in the process and learn how to cope in meaningful ways and build the skills to lean into the future possibilities.
Through a variety of activities, participants will learn more about their needs and the needs of others during change and transitions. Activities also provide opportunities to identify and leverage the individual and collective strengths of the organization.
