Stories of LGBTQIA+ Hope and Courage

Monday, 04 November, 2024 -
11:00 am to 12:00 pm
Williamson House
1st Floor Conference Room

LGBTQIA+ histories and present-day cultures are filled with examples of ordinary people and extraordinary collectives who have courageously confronted homophobic and transphobic bias, discrimination, and violence. This story circle, facilitated by Caitlin Kane with Rebecca Catto, Erica Pelz, and Lauren Vachon, will offer attendees opportunities to hear about some of these past and present-day figures of hope and to share their own stories of finding hope and courage in difficult times. Participants will engage in an open conversation about how we can draw on the energy and practices described in our stories and will be invited to chalk key takeaways from the session outside the Williamson House. All are welcome! Part of the Day of Radical Hope.
