South Korea is a country located in East Asia that occupies the southern portion of the Korean Peninsula. Students in the Yongin program will enjoy exploring several of the city鈥檚 famous parks, including the Everland theme park and the Caribbean Bay water park.
The city of Yongin is also known for its academic and artistic culture. The city is home to many university campuses. Yongin is also known for its abundance of K-Pop artists, including Sungjae and Bomin.
Yongin contains many architectural landmarks that students can enjoy. The city features the Korean Folk Village, which is the largest folk village of its kind. It also features Yongin Stadium, a stadium that has a max capacity of twelve thousand people.

Situated in Yongin, a Seoul suburb within a 60-minute bus ride from central Seoul, the Dankook University Jukjeon Campus features many state-of-the-art facilities for teaching, learning, and entertainment. Dankook also offers students rich opportunities for cultural engagement such as calligraphy, cooking classes, and field trips to nearby cultural sites.

Incheon International Airport is the most common option for students traveling to and from South Korea. Gimpo International Airport is closer to Dankook University, but there are typically no direct flights from the US to Gimpo. Via public transportation, Incheon International Airport is two and a half hours from Dankook and Gimpo International Airport is an hour and a half from Dankook.
Dankook University typically offers a buddy program that students can register for in advance and pay for upon arrival to campus. With the buddy program, Dankook University students will meet the exchange student at Incheon or Gimpo and will help them navigate their way to campus via public transit. Students can also choose to find their own way to campus.
