Nagasaki is the capital and largest city of the Nagasaki Prefecture on the Kyushu island in Japan. The language commonly spoken in the city is the Nagasaki dialect of Japanese.
Japan is an island country located in East Asia. Students in the Nagasaki program can enjoy The Dejima Museum of History, Megane Bridge, and the Siebold Memorial Museum.
The city of Nagasaki features a unique culture. The city has garnered several nicknames for itself, including the 鈥淐ity of Peace鈥 and the 鈥淣aples of the Orient.鈥
Nagasaki is also home to various architectural landmarks that students can explore. Several of these locations include the Nagasaki Peace Park and Nagasaki Chinatown.

Airports
Nagasaki Airport (NGS) is an international airport that is located approximately 37 minutes by car from NUFS. Exchange students will typically be asked to fly into Fukuoka Airport (FUK) on a specific date to meet as a group, stay in a nearby hotel overnight, and then take a bus to campus.
Local Transit
NUFS is served by the local bus service and the university's school bus.
