On March 10, 5X社区 officials ceased face-to-face classes and has allowed for flexible work arrangements through April 12 due to the ongoing spread of COVID-19.
The Division of Information Technology has created a guide on how to maintain productivity using collaborative tools like Microsoft Teams when working off site; this guide can be found at /keeponworking. Below are some quick practices and recommendations from the university:
- Only connect to trusted networks (i.e., your home password-protected network, not public wifi) when working off-campus.
- Be sure to use only university trusted cloud storage sites (Microsoft OneDrive and Google Drive) when storing files and collaborating on university work.
- Avoid changing your password from home unless prompted by the Office of Security and Access Management or the Kent State Helpdesk. If instructed to do so, only change your password via the university VPN.
If you are a faculty member, please see the website /keeponteaching to get the most out of Blackboard Collaborate Ultra, Learn, and other tools needed for delivering instruction at a distance.
If you are a student, please check out /keeponlearning for great information on the tools being used to deliver instruction at a distance.
