The university is aware of the social media report that a Kent State student has died following an accident on I-65 in Alabama. At this time, we cannot confirm that information through official channels. University officials are investigating. As soon as official information can be obtained, the university will issue a statement.
In the meantime, the Kent State community is praying for all of the students in the accident and their families. With the widespread unconfirmed story circulating on social media, we know many of our other students will be stressed. University Health Services will have counselors available for any student who needs help.
