- Apply for the Liberal Studies Essay Topic Approval. You need to complete this form and submit it to the program coordinator for approval before you can register for LSTU 61098 (formerly AS 61098) Liberal Studies Essay. Since it requires preparing an outline of your Liberal Studies Essay topic and getting signatures from a Faculty Advisor and Faculty Reader for the Essay, you should begin to work on this well before the deadline for adding courses.
