LGBTQIA+ histories and present-day cultures are filled with examples of ordinary people and extraordinary collectives who have courageously confronted homophobic and transphobic bias, discrimination, and violence. This story circle, facilitated by Caitlin Kane with Rebecca Catto, Erica Pelz, and Lauren Vachon, will offer attendees opportunities to hear about some of these past and present-day figures of hope and to share their own stories of finding hope and courage in difficult times.

Opening Circle: 鈥淭ogether in Radical Hope鈥
The opening circle is a moment to come together, show up for each other, be in community, to set the tone for the day. It will involve a libation and land acknowledgement, a collective introduction to the intentions of the event, and an embodied co-created activity. Above all, the opening circle is a moment to be present together with emphasis on mutual care and community solidarity in radical hope.
Time: 10:00 AM - 10:30 am
Location: Oscar Ritchie, rm 250

A fun Halloween event for students to come have fun!
鈥淚 am only half-way through my first semester at Kent, and I am doing well. I am once again taking a class that speaks to my strengths. I certainly notice a difference in the caliber of teaching here at Kent State.鈥
鈥淜ent State was the school that I found to be the most helpful and supportive during the entire process of Notre Dame鈥檚 closing. It had the easiest process.鈥濃
鈥淜ent State has a big, diverse population of people, which is one of the reasons why I chose Kent State. It is a great place to immerse myself in different cultures. I like to step out of my comfort zone and meet new people.鈥濃
