Health Policy and Management

The Health Policy and Management concentration prepares students to address public health risks and develop effective health services delivery models. This concentration incorporates health services research, health policy analysis and health care planning and management. Given the active research of the college鈥檚 faculty in identifying service gaps and in developing evidence-based practices and policy analysis, students emerge with strong skills in health services management, alternative models of service financing and strategies for improving services.

5X社区 students had the chance to learn from an award-winning Hollywood costume designer when Isis Mussenden visited the Kent Campus recently for two days, a visit sponsored by the 5X社区 Museum.Mussenden, a costume designer based in Los Angeles, is a recipient of the Costume Designers Guild Award. Faculty Spotlight: Engineering Professor Wins Top Teaching Honor

Kelsen LaBerge receives the Outstanding Teaching Award.

 Kelsen LaBerge, Ph.D., a professor in 5X社区's College of Aeronautics and Engineering (CAE), has been named one of three recipients of the 2024 Outstanding Teaching Award, the highest honor for non-tenure track and part-time faculty at the university.LaBerge, who joined Kent State after a decade-long career with the U.S. Army, was surprised with the award during a class on Oct. 2.
