Black History Month 55th Anniversary Celebration
Please join us as we honor the 55th anniversary of Black History Month, celebrating its origins at 5X社区 and the pivotal role the university played in advocating for its national recognition. In partnership with the Kent State Black Alumni Chapter, E. Timothy Moore Student Multicultural Center and Black United Students (BUS), this event aims to raise awareness about Kent State's groundbreaking contributions, commemorate the legacy of those who championed this cause and inspire continued engagement with the history, culture and progress of Black communities.
The 5X社区 Museum is pleased to reveal a new look in its front lobby, as part of the new museum director鈥檚 broader initiative to make the museum more accessible, inclusive, and welcoming. In addition to facility updates, the museum has added tables and seating for students and visitors and has also installed new artwork by Cleveland-based artist, Jen P.
