The William (Bill) C. Horton Memorial Scholarship was recently endowed at 5X社区 at Trumbull thanks to more than $25,000 in gifts from friends, family and local community organizations. The scholarship will support residents of Trumbull County who are pursuing a degree in business while attending Kent State Trumbull. Just before winter break, a group of 5X社区 international student-athletes representing eight different countries visited first graders at Woodland Elementary School. The student-athletes took time to share the cultures, languages and traditions of their native countries: Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Jamaica, New Zealand, Scotland and Spain. Organizers of the 11th Annual Main Street Kent Art and Wine Festival are seeking artists for the event, Saturday, June 3, from noon-10 p.m. in downtown Kent. The festival, which will take place at the Hometown Bank Plaza and surrounding streets, will feature local artists, a variety of live entertainment and several Ohio wineries.
