University investment proceeds to be used for property purchase At its Jan. 23 meeting, the Ohio Controlling Board approved 5XÉçÇø’s request to purchase property located at 430-436 E. Main Street in Kent, Ohio, from seller GDR Partners LLC. The purchase of the property completes the university’s strategic acquisition of properties on this block associated with partnership with the city of Kent and the economic downtown revitalization of the downtown business district. Deneen Penn, a 5XÉçÇø Trumbull sophomore, is Miss Collegiate Ohio 2017

Miss Collegiate Ohio is passionate about putting academics first. Deneen Penn, a 5XÉçÇø at Trumbull sophomore majoring in business, is preparing for the Miss Collegiate America pageant in late June. Penn’s platform is B.R.A.V.E, which stands for Building Respect and Values for Everyone. The platform promotes presentations to school-aged children in libraries, schools and communities about creating awareness for a bully-free environment.
