The outdoor program, Honoring All Who Serve, will include a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from the university’s Army and Air Force ROTC programs, remarks from Kent State President Beverly Warren and guest speakers. 5XÉçÇø at Salem horticulture students recently helped Associate Professor Chris Carlson take the first step toward creating a series of themed gardens on the grounds of the Salem Campus by designing a butterfly garden. The students conducted soil testing and site assessments prior to designing and planting the new garden, using specially selected plants that will flower and attract butterflies.
