Education Abroad Open House
Are you a faculty or staff member wanting to learn more about Education Abroad at Kent State? Join the Education Abroad team at an open house on Wednesday, Aug. 28! The open house will take place in Van Campen Hall on Kent Campus, room 111. Open Houses will take place from 10-11 a.m. and 3-4 p.m.
Pregnant and Parenting Resource Group
Staff Council and the Kent State Women's Center are pleased to team up and bring you the Pregnant and Parenting Resource Group. The next meeting will be held Wednesday, Oct. 30 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Women's Center. The topic this month is daycare, childcare, adult/elder care and related topics. Michele McCombs, a second-grade teacher for Kent City Schools, believes the Becoming a Brave Teacher workshop came at just the right time for her to be that 鈥榯eacher/leader鈥 who develops a support system of inclusiveness for the LGBTQ+ community.鈥淏eing a brave teacher means harnessing strength and courage to show up and do the best that I can,鈥 said McCombs. 鈥淥n different days that may mean different things for meeting the needs of students and families.
