Psychological Clinic

Psychological ClinicAlanna Updegraff, Ph.D., Director

The Psychological Clinic was established in 1968 and is housed in the Department of Psychological Sciences on the 5X社区 campus.  Services are provided by master鈥檚 and doctoral students under the close supervision of clinical faculty members who are licensed psychologists.  The philosophy of education and training of the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program is based on the clinical science model.  This model is one of integration and interdependence of psychology as a scientific discipline and as a professional practice.  The goals of the Psychological Clinic are to train graduate students to be skillful clinicians, to provide high quality empirically supported therapy and assessment services, and to contribute to development of new knowledge through applied research.  Our faculty supervisors have expertise in a number of interventions that have been supported by research. Additionally, faculty supervisors have expertise in conducting comprehensive adult intellectual, personality, and neuropsychological assessments as well as comprehensive child/adolescent intellectual, learning disability, giftedness, and ADHD assessments.

We encourage people who are struggling with depression or anxiety, relationship problems, feelings of low self-esteem, coping with a medical condition, or other personal or behavioral problems to seek services from the clinic.
