Aerospace Engineering Student Named Brooke Owens Fellow

Created to honor the legacy of space industry pioneer and pilot, Dawn Brooke Owens, the Brooke Owens Fellowship is designed to serve as an inspiration and career boost to select young women who aspire to explore space, and to help humankind.

Ms. Bihn was paired with a purpose-driven, paid internship at in San Francisco as part of her consideration for the award. She also served as a student advocate at Farnborough鈥檚 in 2018 and attended .

The lauded recognition attracted hundreds of applications from more than 125 colleges and universities in more than a dozen nations. Through multiple rounds of application reviews and phone interviews, candidates with the best blend of talent, potential, creativity and a commitment to serving their communities were chosen. Top candidates were paired with host institutions for additional interviews. The fellows have an acceptance rate on par with that of a top 25 university, with just 38 new members with alumnae members totaling 114.
