IN A FLASH: Brickwork Through a New Lens

The Holomasonry project uses Microsoft HoloLens Mixed Reality technology to assemble brick structures 鈥 without mortar 鈥 from a virtual design. Computer-guided placement augments the capabilities of designers and builders in constructing complex architectural geometry with improved construction efficiency and structural stability.

This project was created by faculty from Kent State's College of Architecture and Environmental Design: Rui Liu, Ph.D.; Bill LucakLameck Onsarigo, Ph.D.; and Simon Adamtey, Ph.D.
