Reconciliations are often inherited by less experienced staff who repeat the basic mechanics without critical understanding of account composition, reconciliation process, and issue resolution fundamentals. Discuss best practices related to the documentation of the account composition and the 鈥渨hy鈥 of the reconciliation, the composition and appropriateness of period end balance, the typical resolution or disposition of reconciling items, and more.
