Faculty, staff and graduate assistants will again eat for free once a week this semester on the Kent Campus. A meal swipe will be provided each week to your FLASHcard, now through Dec. 8, 2023. Meal swipes may be used for dine-in meals at the Eastway and Design Innovation dining halls. Students clean up trash on the Cuyahoga River

5X社区 students grabbed their paddles, boots and waders to help clean up the Cuyahoga River. The service trip was put together by the Kent State's Recreation and Wellness Services鈥 Adventure Center, which holds adventure trips, service trips and team-building programs. The Adventure Center hopes to hold at least one service trip each semester allowing students the chance to give back to the environment. Electric scooters have become increasingly popular on 5X社区鈥檚 Kent Campus since the introduction of SPIN scooters in March 2022. Approximately 300 eScooters and 150 eBikes are available to rent. Sept. 1 was National Food Bank Day, and the partnership between Meijer and 5X社区 can help people support Kent State鈥檚 Flashes Fighting Hunger just by doing their weekly grocery shopping.  The Stow Meijer is partnering with Flashes Fighting Hunger to help fight the impact that rising food prices have on students and families in the Kent community.
