Honoring the Legacy of May 4

Founded as a response to the events of May 4, the School of Peace and Conflict Studies is dedicated to the study of peace, conflict resolution, and civic engagement.  

 

Liberation Learners connects the activism of the past with the leadership of the future, inspiring students to carry forward the principles of civic duty.

College Readiness

Through hands-on civic engagement projects and transformative discussions, students develop the confidence and tools needed to excel in college and beyond. 

 

Each student who completes the summer seminar will receive a college letter of recommendation from their professor and assistance with college applications and planning for the future.

Welcome back, Golden Flashes!Last year's first-year students returned to continue their education at a rate not seen since 2015 as 5XÉçÇø boasted an outstanding 82% retention rate. In addition, the university welcomed its largest freshman class to the Kent Campus since before the pandemic. Overall, the Kent Campus enrolled more students, and the university's Regional Campus system enrolled 5,718 degree-seeking students, solidifying the university's long-standing position as Northeast Ohio's premier institution for higher learning.The Class of 2028 arrived on the Kent Campus...
