Denise A. Seachrist, Ph.D., of Rootstown, Ohio, has been selected to serve as dean and chief administrative officer of 5X社区 at Stark, located in North Canton, Ohio. Seachrist has served as interim dean of Kent State Stark, the only public university in Stark County and the largest Regional Campus of Kent State, since July 1, 2014. The Women鈥檚 Center, formerly called the Women鈥檚 Resource Center, was established in 1996 following a recommendation from a university stakeholder committee to former Kent State President Carol A. David Smeltzer and Oscar Rocha successfully lead a faculty lead study abroad experience in Costa Rica.  This course included BSCI and JMC students who visited several locations in Costa Rica, including a dry forest, rainforest, cloud forest, and a coastal region.
