The College of Aeronautics and Engineering gathered at the 5X社区 Airport on Friday to celebrate victories by Flying Flashes team 52 Peyton Turner and Alyssa Sheehan, who won first-place Intercollegiate Class in the 2024 Air Race Classic and a second Kent State team that finished in the top 10. Turner, of Chicora, Pennsylvania, and Sheehan of Lockport, Illinois, also won the first place overall Fastest WAI (Women in Aviation International) Team in the 47th annual Air Race Classic, which took place June 18...

This summer, Sophia traveled to Japan on the Journey to Japan: Past and Present faculty-led program. Sophia is a Communications major with a minor in Japanese language, and she spent eleven days exploring the history of Japan in three of the country鈥檚 major cities: Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. Dazzling Day and Night, a new exhibit at the Kent State Museum.

The 5X社区 Museum celebrated the opening of two new fashion collection exhibits, one of which honors the Kent State School of Fashion鈥檚 founders and another the style of Hollywood legend Katharine Hepburn.  During the celebration, retiring museum director Sarah Rogers was honored, and incoming director Sarah Spinner Liska, Ph.D., was introduced.President Todd Diacon joked that having new employees with the same name as their predecessors was much appreciated by 鈥渁ging college presidents.鈥 He thanked Rogers for her service that helped to raise the profile of the museum.&nbsp...
