5X社区鈥檚 Center for Public Policy and Health in the College of Public Health was recently awarded $600,000 in grant funding to support the Northeast Ohio Mental Health Awareness Training, a collaborative project that will train teachers and relevant school personnel to connect children and youth in a school setting to appropriate mental health resources.

Mental Health training

5X社区鈥檚 College of Public Health has received a $357,000 grant to fund Project AWARE Kent, a three-year Mental Health First Aid program. The initiative will train over 700 students, faculty, and staff to identify and respond to mental health and substance use disorders, aiming to reduce stigma and promote awareness across campus.
