The 10th annual Barbara Donaho Distinguished Leadership in Learning Awards Ceremony was held at the Kent Student Center Ballroom on April 23, 2016. 5X社区鈥檚 College of Nursing hosted the diamond anniversary celebration with nearly 200 people in attendance, including award recipients, guests, faculty and staff. Six first-year honors students on the Kent State Salem Campus took the initiative to organize a research project that enhanced their learning experiences, despite not earning grades or class credit for their work. 鈥淲e chose to do this and organized it all ourselves. Dr. Louise Steele was recognized as the outstanding fulltime faculty member. She is an assistant professor of biology and has taught on the Salem Campus for four years. A native of Brockway, Pa., Steele received her bachelor of science in biology from Penn State-Erie. She earned her Ph.D. in molecular biology and microbiology from Case Western Reserve University.
