5X社区 at Stark is the new home to the Players Guild Theatre, now the resident theater company on campus. In October, the Players Guild held its inaugural production, 鈥淢illion Dollar Quartet鈥, at The Mary J. Timken Theatre in the Fine Arts Building. Flight Team at Regionals 2022

On October 9th-14th, the 5X社区 Precision Flight Team attended the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA) Regional Safety and Flight Evaluation Conference (SAFECON). This competition was held at Bowling Green State University, at the Wood County Regional Airport. Kent State competes in Region III, which includes flight schools from Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.  NIFA serves as an organization to bring college aviators together competitively and non-competitively. Congratulations to Eric Taylor, associate professor of geology, who was named a Kent State 2022 Outstanding Teaching Award recipient! The University Teaching Council supports the Outstanding Teaching Awards which are presented at the annual College Teaching Conference in the fall. Every year, three Kent State faculty members are honored with awards of $1,500 each for their outstanding achievements in teaching.
