In September 2023, the divisions of Human Resources and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) merged to create the new Division of People, Culture and Belonging. Under the leadership of Vice President Amoaba Gooden, this division will enhance Kent State鈥檚 focus on the well-being of people and organizational culture while elevating the work of both units. The Division of People, Culture and Belonging will strengthen efforts geared toward Kent State鈥檚 institutional mission and vision and advance the university鈥檚 culture of care, kindness and respect.
