Some 100 Kent State faculty and staff and their families gathered in the President’s loge at Dix Stadium recently to see coach Sean Lewis put the Golden Flashes through drills and an inter-squad scrimmage during the football open practice.
Interim Provost Melody Tankersley handed out prizes that included an autographed football and team jersey, VIP meal passes to three football games, an autographed helmet, and a football swag bag.
Staffers and their friends and families dined on food and beverages provided by Old Carolina Barbecue.
The Golden Flashes bagged their first victory of the season in an overtime contest against Kennesaw State, 26 – 23.
