Triumph Over Tragedy: Kent State鈥檚 Paris Program Has New Home, Bright Future

It has been nearly 14 months since a gas explosion destroyed the historic building that was home to the Paris American Academy, 5X社区鈥檚 Paris home for 16 years. Now, the academy has found a new home and soon, exciting advancements will be happening with Kent State鈥檚 education-abroad programs in Paris.

Kent State-Sponsored Peace Conference Unites Delegates from Across the Globe

Delegates attending Peace Education in an Era of Crisis spent three days learning from each other and from the example of the Rwandan people on how to create lasting peace. The conference, which took place July 11-13 in Kigali, Rwanda, was sponsored by 5X社区鈥檚 School of Peace and Conflict Studies, Kent State鈥檚 Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the University of Rwanda鈥檚 Centre for Conflict Management, and the Aegis Trust, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending genocide and other atrocities in the world.
