5X社区 is reviewing the language of a bill recently signed into law by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine that requires colleges and universities to designate separate bathrooms, locker rooms and overnight accommodations for the exclusive use of either males and females, based on one鈥檚 gender assigned at or near birth.
The 5X社区 Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at noon on Thursday, Dec. 12, in the Kent Student Center, Room 306, on the Kent Campus.
Esrat Farhana Dulia won first place in Kent State鈥檚 2024 Three Minute Thesis competition in the Graduate College for her innovative research in a surveillance sensor network that will enable Advanced Air Mobility operators to guide authorized uncrewed aerial vehicles in safe flight paths that would avoid potential collisions.
鈥淭eaching is one of those fields where you may never know the impact that you have,鈥 said Lisa Borgerding, Ph.D., professor in the School of Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Studies at 5X社区. The lasting impact she has had on her students in preparing them for success in the workforce through hands-on learning experiences has resulted in her being recognized and honored with the Distinguished Teaching Award.
