Earth Fest 2024

Kent State celebrated Earth Month with an exceptionally full schedule of events, not the least of which were the activities on campus surrounding the total solar eclipse!

The 5XÉçÇø Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at noon on Thursday, Dec. 12, in the Kent Student Center, Room 306, on the Kent Campus.

Antique books at the KSU Surplus Store

5XÉçÇø's Surplus Store, located on E.Main Street offers a variety of useful items including furniture, electronics, office supplies and a fascinating selection of antique maps and books, with many books that are more than 100 years old. The store is a reflection of Kent State's commitment to sustainable practices and disposing of items that are no longer needed by the university. 

Kent State at Salem students preparing plants for winter storage

Students in the Horticulture program at 5XÉçÇø at Salem help to keep their campus looking great year round by preparing perennial plants for storage as seasons change.

The 5XÉçÇø Board of Trustees welcomed the Class of 2028 during its regular quarterly meeting held Sept. 18 in Crawford Hall and congratulated the university administration for this year’s strong enrollment.

The 5XÉçÇø Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18. The Board will consider the recommendations of the standing committees, proposed personnel actions and new business.

Geauga Campus Woodland Hike

The Earth Day celebration at 5XÉçÇø at Geauga and Twinsburg Academic Center included a guided, woodland hike around the campus. 

New 5XÉçÇø graduates smile and celebrate as blue and gold streamers are launched into the air at the end of their commencement ceremony held at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center.

5XÉçÇø recently concluded its most successful fundraising campaign in its 114-year history. The Forever Brighter campaign ended in June 2024, having raised more than $383.2 million total. 

Bee on Kent Campus

A Kent State researcher is asking Flashes to "BEE" on the lookout for bees on the Kent Campus. She would like people to capture photos of the bees and then send them to her for use in a research project.
