5XÉçÇø has a roster of programmed events to celebrate Black excellence this February with the theme: Black excellence in every aspect, shade and expression, or ÀSE, a Yoruba term that represents the power that produces change. Kent State has a wide variety of events that aim to encompass and ignite the month with recognition and celebration

KSU Cosplay Club  is a student organization promoting creativity and community through bringing together people with similar interests to form friendships and exchange knowledge in a shared love of cosplay.

5XÉçÇø’s Anti-Racism and Equity Institute, in conjunction with University Libraries, on Feb. 6 will host a movie screening and panel discussion for Black History Month addressing the increasing infant mortality rate among African Americans in Northeast Ohio.
