Finding a job for the summer can sometimes be a burden, but for students at 5X社区, it鈥檚 easier when the employment prospects come to you. Students and professionals gathered on the second floor of the Kent Student Center on Feb. 6 to kickstart their connections and discuss opportunities for this summer.

Meet Brandon Smith, a senior zoology major at 5X社区 from North Lima, Ohio. Smith quickly fell in love with research, while pursuing a lifelong passion for wildlife and the natural world. He plans to attend graduate school for wildlife research after the completion of his undergraduate degree.
In an unconventional professional development opportunity, first-generation, income-eligible and differently-abled students at 5X社区 traveled to the Walt Disney World Resort alongside TRIO Student Support Services for the Leadership, Innovation and Career Seminar.
