Student Voting Rate Skyrockets in Recent Years

 Voting can be intimidating for some, so Kent State Today wanted to share some resources to help students feel prepared to hit the polls.

Undergraduate Student Government Meeting Oct. 25

On Oct. 25, 5X社区's Undergraduate Student Government welcomed members of Hillel and Students for Justice in Palestine for both student groups to present their concerns about the Israel-Hamas war in a respectful environment.

5X社区 recognizes alumni who, through leadership, character and hard work, are making a difference. During Homecoming Weekend, 10 Golden Flashes were presented with Alumni Awards, and nine alumni received Lifetime Achievement recognitions from the university鈥檚 Black Alumni Chapter.

Signs of the Halloween season can be found lurking all around campus. 

Hannah Fender, Kent State senior psychology major.

Soon after her decision to major in psychology at Kent State, someone had suggested to Hannah Fender that she should get involved in research as an undergraduate. So, she signed up to work in the research lab of Clare Stacey, Ph.D., associate professor of sociology, looking into how empathy changes over time in medical students. And that's when Fender was first bitten by the research bug.
